Full-Stack Python Developer
Build features end-to-end across our Django backend and Angular frontend, from document intake and AI extraction down through the dashboards food-safety teams use every day.
About the role
Tracegence is a multi-tenant SaaS that helps food manufacturers stay audit-ready. Documents come in, get OCR'd, classified, validated, scored, and surfaced through tenant dashboards plus a read-only auditor portal. You'd work across the whole stack: Django + DRF, Celery for async pipelines, Postgres with row-level security for tenant isolation, Angular 18 on the frontend, and Vertex AI / Document AI at the ML boundaries. Most days mean shipping a feature that crosses two or three of those layers. We're a small team, so judgment matters more than process. Code review is direct, dates are honest, and "I broke X, here's the fix" is the right move.
What you'll do
- Design and ship features that span Django, Celery, Postgres, and the Angular SPA
- Extend the document pipeline: classification, extraction, validation rules, scoring
- Model new domain concepts (HACCP, CAPA, recalls) and migrate the schema without breaking tenants
- Wire new AI capabilities through Vertex AI / Document AI while keeping the mock paths working for local dev
- Review other people's work, write tests that catch the right regressions, and keep CI green
What we look for
- 3+ years building Python web services in production, ideally Django + DRF
- Comfortable with relational data modelling and writing real SQL when the ORM is the wrong tool
- Have worked with at least one frontend framework in anger - Angular, React, or Vue
- Comfortable with Postgres, Celery (or a similar task runner), and async pipelines
- Read code and ask questions before pattern-matching to what a similar codebase did
